About
Ittar and Perfumes
Attars and perfumes have evolved over millennia, weaving their scented tales through the annals of human history. The tradition of attars traces back to ancient civilizations, with roots in regions like India and the Middle East, where artisans meticulously crafted these aromatic elixirs as early as 3,000 BCE. Perfumes, meanwhile, gained prominence in ancient Egypt around 2,000 BCE, where they were intricately linked to religious rituals and societal customs. Across cultures and epochs, both attars and perfumes have remained enduring symbols of sensory delight, enriching human experiences with their captivating fragrances since antiquity.
Why Manogii Ittar?
The narrative of our esteemed Founder Father, the late Shri Sudarshan Vansil, serves as a beacon of inspiration. Born into modest circumstances in Tarn Taran, a quaint district nestled in Punjab, India, he discovered his deep-seated passion for Attar oils from a tender age. Commencing with sharing aromatic elixirs among friends in his village, he soon transitioned into the realm of Attar roll sales, driven by an unwavering dedication to his craft. This timeless legacy, embodied by Manogii, now sees the second generation ardently continuing his legacy, enriching society with the exquisite allure of quality aromatics.
Furthermore, the enchanting world of perfumery and Attar exudes a mystical charm that transcends time and culture. Like a symphony composed by nature itself, Attar, derived from the Arabic word for 'scent' or 'fragrance,' encapsulates the essence of botanical beauty. In ancient India, artisans meticulously extracted these precious scents by infusing water or vegetable oil with the essence of revered flowers and sacred plants. The resulting elixirs, steeped in the essence of nature's bounty, evoke an unparalleled sensory journey, weaving a tapestry of aromatic wonder that resonates through the ages.
